Evens: Practice Everything in Moderation
Evens is simplicity designed. Eschewing excess, we conceive, cut, and sew looks to be worn by all women, across seasons, timelessly. Inspiration begins with delicate everyday situations and is actualized through a process of drawing and painting, photography, material experimentation, and made-to-order production. High-quality materials are the foundation of our work, so textiles are sourced responsibly and ethically; they are largely dyed and printed in-house at the Evens studio in the heart of Houston, Texas.
The name “Evens” embodies our design philosophy and reflects balance in our textile production: good textile design exercises a variety of production methods--traditional dyeing processes, screen and block printing, and emerging digital printing processes--not simply to satisfy our broad interest in the medium, but to produce unique pieces that stand the test of time.
